All prices cited on the OATmedia website are in pound sterling.
Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice.
In order to effect a purchase through our website shop, payment must be made in advance over the internet by credit or debit card, by phone, fax, or by post.
OATmedia accepts payment by VISA, Mastercard, and Switch credit and/or debit cards, and by banker’s cheque.
VAT
United Kingdom (UK) based customers are charged UK VAT at 17.5%, except on books.
Customers from EU member states other than the UK are charged UK VAT at 17.5% (except, on books), unless they are ordering on behalf of a business enterprise registered for VAT and are able to provide proof of country code and VAT registration number.
A VAT invoice is sent to customers together with their order or under separate cover.
Orders received from outside the EU are not charged VAT.
Order Acknowledgement
An order placed on the OATmedia website will be acknowledged by e-mail to a customer’s e-mail address. The order becomes confirmed at the time of dispatch. If there are any problems with a customer’s order, the customer will be contacted directly.
Return, refund and cancellation policy
OATmedia makes every effort to ensure that products advertised on its website are of high quality and fit for the purpose advertised. Should a customer receive goods from us which are not of a merchantable quality or fit for the purpose described , the goods may be returned and a replacement (if requested and available) will be sent; otherwise the price of the goods will be refunded in full.
Products which fail to meet a customer’s requirements, may be returned to us within 14 days for a full refund provided the products are unused and in their original packaging. When returning goods to us it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the goods are sent by an insured carriage service. OATmedia is not liable for returned packages which are lost in transit. No refund will be given unless returned goods are received by OATmedia.
It is the responsibility of customers purchasing computer software (e.g. computer based training products) to check, prior to purchase, that the software ordered is compatible with their computer system.
Delivery Methods & Charges:
For orders placed by phone, fax or post, customers will be advised by OATmedia sales staff of options for delivery methods and prices.
For website shop sales, the appropriate delivery options will be presented to the customer, at the time of Checkout, along with their costs in order that the customer may select the most appropriate for their circumstances, before they are asked to confirm the order. Delivery options and prices may change as different services are sourced at the most effective price for our customers.
Currently, delivery to customers is undertaken either by the Royal Mail or a courier service. Royal Mail services in terms of time taken for delivery are as advertised on the Royal Mail website. Normally, Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is available only within the United Kingdom, is next day for the United Kingdom (UK). For small parcels, delivery is normally 3 days, plus, within the UK while heavy parcels are 7 days plus. Courier delivery within the UK is normally next day. Courier delivery overseas aims to be 5 working days as is the case with small parcels delivered by Royal Mail. For larger parcels , however, delivered by surface mail, the Royal Mail advertises a delivery period of 2 to 12 weeks,
OATmedia has no control over Royal Mail and courier services and cannot guarantee that the aforementioned delivery times and those published on a carrier’s website will be achieved. Any stated delivery date, period or rate is given as a guide only and OATmedia accepts no responsibility for loss or damage resulting from delay. Except where a required delivery date is specified on the order, late delivery will not be sufficient grounds for cancellation, or return of an order once dispatched. Please allow 28 days for delivery. Customers are advised to refer to our Customer Services policy for further guidance if required.
Computer Based Training Purchases:
All computer based training (CBT) purchased through the OATmedia website shop, whether on CD-ROM or by data download, is delivered to the customer under the terms of an Individual User Licence (IUL) which stipulates that the CBT is for the personal use of the customer only and for use on one PC only.
When a customer purchases CBT, they buy a IUL to use the CBT data for their personal use, only. The purchaser does not own the data on the disk. That data, at all times, remains the property of and the copyright of Oxford Aviation Training Ltd.
Customers purchasing CBT software from OATmedia may not resell or reproduce the CBT in any form or medium, copy, store in a retrieval system, lend, hire, rent, transmit or adapt the CBT, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of Oxford Aviation Training Limited.
If a customer is not willing to abide by the terms of the IUL, they are asked to return the CBT software within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The IUL terms are specified in the licence document contained in CBT CD-ROM cases, and summarized on the CD-ROM case, itself. In the case of downloads, the IUL terms are also contained within the CBT software, itself. The IUL is also contained in the data on CD-ROM based CBT. Furthermore, when installing CBT onto their PC, the customer is asked to indicate their agreement with the IUL terms before the software permits them to proceed with installation.
The purchase of an IUL does not allow OATmedia CBT to be used for group training. Any individual or training organisation purchasing CBT software from OATmedia may use the CBT for group training only if the individual or training organisation has first purchased a Training School User Licence (TSUL) from Oxford Aviation Training Ltd.
