Go Flying! PPL Books Magazine Review

These aren’t a simple black-and-white regurgitation of what you’ll see elsewhere though. The text is very easy to read, flows naturally and is relevant to today’s PPLs. They’re so good, at times it feels like there is an instructor sat right next to you explaining it all.

There are hundreds of superb colour illustrations with suitable captions that work in harmony to help you understand the more difficult concepts. Items that you must memorise are marked by the picture of a ‘key’. These key points are the answers you’ll need for potential exam questions. OAA has also gone one step further to make you a better pilot by printing a set of wings alongside sentences that describe good airmanship points (see picture below).

These books will teach you so much more than the basics. They cover more than what’s required for the PPL exams but it’s never too much. Even experienced PPL holders will find nuggets of wisdom in these books that you wished you’d known before.

At the end of each chapter are multiple choice questions – perfect practice for those exams.
