Fatal Error! Program Start.exe. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
This error is caused on foreign language computers by the text within our software being anti-aliased. The error is only generated when text is displayed on screen, not necessarily when the exe starts. Our latest software uses embedded fonts and does not suffer from this problem.
Solution (Windows XP).
There are two ways to fix this although the first method does not always work:
Set the language for non-unicode programs to 'English (United Kingdom)'. To do this click on Start - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options. Click on the Advanced tab and set the language for non-unicode programs to 'English (United Kingdom)'. NOTE: The 'Advanced' tab is only available if you are logged on with administrator privileges.
Solution (All Other Windows).
Other versions of Windows do not have the option for 'non-Unicode programs'.
Method 1.
Set the system language to 'English (United Kingdom)'. To do this click on Start - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options. Set all options to 'English (United Kingdom)' and click OK. You may need to restart your system. It is possible to have more than one language on a PC and switch between them.
Method 2.
1) Install the software or copy to the contents to a folder on your hard drive.
2) Get TextFix.zip.
3) Extract TextFix.zip next to the main menu executable. NOTE: You must use the 'Extract' option in Winzip rather than dragging and dropping.
