Terratec SixPack 5.1 Soundcard.

This soundcard was released before Windows XP and thus did not originally have Windows XP support. This card is now discontinued.

A customer running this soundcard in Windows XP experienced skipping sound in the MET CBT. The sound would frequently cut out or miss the first sentence of audio. This problem only occurred if animation was occurring at the same time.

Solution.

Disable EAX. EAX is 'Environmental Audio' and it provides advanced sound positioning/ modelling.
